Government’s plans for the introduction of the planning
Consolidation Bills.
The Committee also considered the Welsh
Government’s proposed timetable for the scrutiny of the
Bills, as well as discussing the associated impact on the Committee
during the autumn term.
The Committee agreed to:
- write to the Business Committee with its
views on the Welsh Government’s proposed timetable;
- write to stakeholders to provide advance
warning that the Committee would be issuing a consultation on the
Bills in mid-September;
- invite Welsh Government officials to the
Committee’s meeting on 14 July to provide a briefing on the
consolidation exercise;
- consider its approach to the scrutiny of the
Bills at a future meeting.
